Honeywell 1865 Series
The 1865 Series is a high-performance transducer specifically designed to meet the requirements of medical technology and specialised OEM applications. These devices feature laser-assisted compensation and can be configured for operation with either a constant current or constant voltage supply.
The series is based on a piezoresistive solid-state pressure transducer housed in a plastic enclosure. For applications in which force is applied to the sensor via a flexible membrane — such as infusion pumps — the precision silicone membrane provides long service life and serves as a reliable replacement for traditional force or load cell transducers. The use of a silicone rubber membrane also makes the product suitable for certain liquid media applications.
Functions
The 1865 series provides important safety functions for medical devices in intensive care, such as the detection of occlusion pressure or infiltration. The pressure data can provide medical staff with useful diagnostic information about the condition of a patient's circulatory system. These force/pressure transducers can also be used with other medical dosing devices, such as syringe pumps, to improve safety and accuracy.
