Machine safety switch
Honeywell's electromechanical safety switches comprise a wide range of series designed in accordance with EN50041 or 50047 standards. The red housing color makes them easy to identify as safety switches. In addition, the switches have been approved for safety functions up to a safety integrity level (SIL) of SIL3 in accordance with the requirements of IEC 61508-2:2010.
Description
These switches are specifically designed for safety-critical applications. They shut down machinery when a hazardous condition is detected and prevent restart as long as the hazard persists. As a key element of operator protection and accident prevention, they incorporate additional safety features such as locking mechanisms and redundant contacts to ensure reliable and fail-safe operation.
